NEW Bowtech Alliance, Ascend, and Alliance 33 Hunting Compound Bows
The biggest announcements came in the Bowtech Alliance and Alliance 33 models, which are available in 7 unique finishes and your choice of 4 different draw weights. The difference between these two is in their overall length, or Axle-to-Axle length. The Alliance has an Axle-to-Axle length of 30.5″ while the Alliance 33 – as the name implies – has an Axle-to-Axle length of 33″. With longer bows, you have increased stability while shorter bows can be better suited for maneuverability and tight spaces. So, it’s really dealer’s choice.
The Bowtech Ascend falls into a category by itself being slightly more affordable ($500 lighter on the price tag), an Axle-to-Axle length that falls in the middle of the two Alliance models (31″), and an overall weight of 4.2 Lb when the Alliance is 4.09 Lb and the Alliance 33 is tipping the scale at 4.25 Lb.
