One of the leaders in premium rod making, G. Loomis has combined global carbon innovation and Woodland-built craftsmanship to give its flagship fly rods, the Asquith Series, a ground-up redesign. With aims to set a new benchmark for innovation, precision, and on-water performance, the Asquith series is purpose-built for passionate fly anglers. For the blank, the Aqsuith rods use Spiral X Core technology with Toray Nanoalloy tech to make next-gen blanks in Kumamoto, Japan that offer exceptional bending, torsional, and compressional rigidity in all directions. Giving the rods unmatched recovery, superior energy transfer, strength, and a featherlight swing weight. For the rod components, G. Loomis uses Fuji T2 black Titanium SiC stripper guides and PVD recoil snake guides for smooth line flow. The reel seats are custom fixed hood designs with improved knurling for a more secure and intuitive reel engagement. All these parts are then put together in Woodland, Washington, using G. Loomis’ renowned rod-building heritage and experience.
The G. Loomis Asquith Fly Rods are available in options for freshwater and saltwater use in 6-12 weights, with an MSRP ranging from $1635 to $1750.
