Shimano USA is here at ICAST 2025 with their newest version of their popular Curado line of baitcasters. The new Curado 150 M has been built to meet the needs of serious bass anglers who want a compact, powerful, and adaptable reel for long days chasing bucket mouths. The new Curado 150 M comes with the updated MGL Spool III design that reduces startup inertia with a thinner design, significantly improving casting distance and cast accuracy. Along with the new spool design, the reel now comes with the Shimano SVS Infinity braking system for consistent spool control and an easy-to-access external adjustment dial for easy adjustments on the water to match how or what you’re fishing. Inside the reel is the MicroModule Gear II, this provides anglers a smooth retrieve and gear longevity with minimal reel noise. For the stopping power needed to keep those hogs out of the structure, the Cross Carbon Drag system delivers up to 13 pounds of smooth and consistent drag force. All of these features are packed into the low-profile HAGANE Body, an incredibly rigid alloy that resists flex and keeps all the gearing lined up properly for maximum cranking power even under heavy strain. The Shimano Curado 150 M is available in three Gear Ratios, 6.2:1, 7.4:1, and 8.1:1, and in both left and right-handed options. MSRP is set at $209.99 for the reel, and they are available now from any Shimano dealer.
