Turkey season is just about here, and that means you are going to need ammo, unless you’re sitting on a stockpile. And even if you are sitting on a stockpile, you should still replenish what you shoot, and that means buying more shotgun shells. Lucky for you, HEVI has its Tom Takedown rebate program running so you can save on ammunition.
HEVI hitting ammo
Turkey hunting has increasingly moved towards heavier-than-lead shot in recent years, with tungsten pellets replacing cheaper alternatives. The increased density of these pellets means you get more energy down-range, and improved shot pattern to boot, thanks to better wads used for the shotshells.

In turkey hunting, where you’re potentially sniping a bird with a single shot at long range instead of cracking off a couple of rounds at a flying target, having a pattern that holds together and hits hard at extended distance is a big benefit. This comes with a trade-off of added expense for premium shells. Higher-performance turkey ammo is expensive. But thanks to HEVI’s Tom Takedown rebate, you can save some cash on their high-end gobbler ammo.
They’re offering five bucks back per box on several of their loadings (HEVI-13, HEVI-Metal Turkey, Magnum Blend, Magnum Blend Reduced Recoil, HEVI-X Strut, HEVI-Bismuth Turkey). If you buy HEVI-18, you get an even higher rebate (seven bucks back a box).
To get your money back, follow HEVI’s instructions:
A minimum purchase of two (2) boxes is required, with a maximum rebate of $100.00 per person or household. Valid purchases must be made from March 1 through May 31, 2026. The deadline for submission of this rebate offer is June 30, 2026.
Note that HEVI-Metal Xtreme, HEVI-Metal Longer Range, HEVI-Bismuth Waterfowl, and HEVI-Bismuth Upland, as well as repackaged, remanufactured, and reloaded products are all excluded from the rebate.

You can see the full details of the offer here. This offer is open to Canadian hunters as well as Americans; there’s a separate submission link for Canadians at HEVI’s website.
