Whether it is something that you take with you to work everyday, or it is a safeguard that rides on your hip while doing outdoor work, a reliable pistol is worth its weight in gold. One of the strongest contenders for concealed carry for the past 5+ years has been the Springfield Armory Hellcat chambered in 9mm. Now, they have announced their newest version in the Hellcat OSP 380 to offer a lighter-recoiling experience with all of the same quality we have come to know.

A Word from Springfield Armory on the NEW Hellcat OSP .380 ACP
Designed as a purpose-built micro-compact, the Hellcat .380 delivers effective defensive performance while remaining exceptionally easy to conceal. It accepts a class-leading 11+1 flush magazine in its smallest form and includes a 13+1 extended magazine for added versatility. Tritium U-Dot sights provide fast, positive sight acquisition, and the optics-ready slide accepts direct-mount micro red dots for instinctive aiming. Rugged components including a hammer-forged barrel and slide make it a dependable everyday carry. With class-leading capacity for its size, extensive optics compatibility, and a softer shooting impulse that improves control, the Hellcat .380 is a formidable defensive pistol built to perform when it matters most.

Final Thoughts
While some people might scoff at the idea of not carrying a 9mm in 2025, there are a lot of gun owners who prefer the slightly less recoil of .380 ACP and knowing that they are more confident shooters while using it. So, I’m glad to see that Springfield is offering the Hellcat in .380 Auto now.
